Logo
The artwork was created by Chief Ray of the Squamish Nation. It was adapted to fit within the confines of the logo in collaboration with him, and you will see his signature featured on the side of the mountain range within the logo. Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB has purchased the original artwork by Chief Ray, and it continues to hang in the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre (SLCC).
“In Whistler, Black Tusk is the perch of the Thunderbird. The Thunderbird was created to bring balance to the world and is the messenger of the Creator, a symbol of peace, power and unity. The moon is the one who brings light to the worlds when it’s dark, he is the grandfather who brings us calmness.”

UTMB Community Bibs
Through UTMB Community Bibs, we have set out to achieve something extraordinary by caring for the amazing environments that host our trail events. The UTMB Community Bibs are a part of The IRONMAN Foundation, which creates positive change in By UTMB®, IRONMAN®, and Rock 'n' Roll Running Series® event communities through grant funding and volunteerism. Your donations support local community organizations and trail stewardship programs. Together, we make a positive impact on the local communities that host our events and local trails that we enjoy running on. Since 2003, over $60 million has been provided through IRONMAN and IRONMAN Foundation charitable giveback programs to more than 10,000 local, regional, national, and global nonprofit initiatives. UTMB Community Bibs can be purchased through the Registration page, and half of the registration costs go towards a local charity, chosen by the race team.
We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia.
