Course Description

Course Description

Runners will begin their day in Creekside Plaza, knocking out the biggest climb out of the day, a 4,500' ascent up Whistler Mountain to the first Aid Station at Roundhouse. Leaving Roundhouse, runners will experience some of the most scenic views on the Harmony Lake Loop, before returning to Roundhouse for a second time.

After a resupply at Roundhouse at mile 11.5, runners will make their way to our Whistler Summit Aid Station, wrapping around Piccolo Summit, gifted with more spectacular views. Runners will climb about 2,400' on their journey up to Whistler Summit for another well deserved pit-stop.

Finally at the Whistler Summit Aid Station, runners are greeted with some of the most breathtaking panoramic views and have reached the highest point on the course at 7,100'. After stocking up on supplies, runners will make their back to Roundhouse, to complete the summit loop one more time since those views are worthy of another look.

After returning to the Whistler Summit Aid Station, runners are ready to start their descent off Whistler Mountain to the Middle of Nowhere Aid Station before making a 4.3 mile loop back to the same location and final Aid Station on the course. Leaving Middle of Nowhere - 2, runners will make their final descent to Creekside Plaza for a much deserved finish, celebration and rest!

Kilometer-Effort (km-effort)

Kilometer-Effort (km-effort)

The 4 race categories are based on the km-effort, a globally recognized formula for measuring the race distance in trail running by considering both the distance and elevation gain to calculate the perceived distance.

The km-effort is calculated by adding 1km to the race distance for every 100 meters of elevation gain.

For example, a race of 50km and 2,500 meters of elevation gain has 75 km-effort.
